AKILA is an independent eyewear brand based out of Los Angeles, California. They specialize in high-quality handmade unisex sunglasses, and consider themselves a creative collective; they often collaborate with other brands in the streetwear/fashion industry. The frames are made out of plant-based acetate and stainless steel, which is an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum based acetates. The lenses are high quality Optical Class 1 nylon lenses which are scratch-resistant and block 100% of UVA & UVB rays.
